Young, Beginning, Small, and Minority
Farmer Financing Programs
AG CREDIT has established
lending programs specifically
designed to serve young,
beginning, small, and minority farmers.
These programs provide a means
to offer dependable,
constructive financing and
services to these producers for
their on-going needs.
Producers in these categories
include those who:
-
Small - a farmer who generates less than $250,000 of annual gross sales of agricultural or aquatic products,
- Young - 35 years of age or younger on the date of loan closing
-
Beginning - 10 years or less of agricultural experience
- Minority - American Indian or Alaskan Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, a person whose ethnicity is Hispanic or Latino, regardless of race, and women
Where appropriate, the
associations often utilize
State of Ohio programs and
USDA Farm Service Agency
guarantees to help provide
financing to these
producers.
For more information about
these programs, contact your
local
